AmaGris — What's New
Only changes you can see or feel as a user are listed here. To check which build you are on, open Help > About in the app — it shows
Version : 1.4.0andRelease : AS-20261020-16; the last number is the patch number. From the next installer version (1.6.0 and so on), the patch number starts again from 1 whenever the installer version changes. From 1.4.0 on, updates are checked automatically after the app opens, and a notice in the lower-right corner tells you when a new build is available.
1.5.0 · Patch 19 (2026-10-22)
If you are on 1.5.0, this is a screen update: click [Update] in the update notice and it applies with a single restart. If you are on 1.4.0 or earlier, the installer update also brings everything in Patches 17 and 18 below.
1. Fixes
- The AI's file edits are safer. If the text to change appears in several places, it stops and reports the line numbers instead of changing the first one, and an edit whose original text was guessed wrong is refused with the closest matching lines shown. A file you changed in an editor is not edited by approximate matching until the AI reads it again.
- Fixed a problem where, after switching the quality level during a long chat with a local model, the next reply took minutes and ended in a "response timeout".
- Fixed multi-step work with external MCP tools being wrongly stopped as "making no progress".
- Fixed messages of a task already in progress going missing on the phone or browser view of a shared session. The shared view now reconnects right away when the phone screen comes back on or the network returns.
1.5.0 · Patch 18 (2026-10-21)
If you are on 1.5.0, this is a screen update: click [Update] in the update notice and it applies with a single restart. If you are on 1.4.0 or earlier, the installer update also brings everything in Patch 17 below.
1. Run a suggested command with one click.
- Commands the AI suggests for you to run (bash, PowerShell or cmd blocks) now have a ▶ Run button. Clicking it opens the in-app terminal in that chat's working folder with the matching shell and runs the command.
- If a terminal tab for the same folder and shell is already open, it is reused. Check the result in the terminal.
2. Also
- Windows stacked as tabs in the right panel keep their size after the app restarts.
- The bright border around the terminal tabs is gone.
- The user manual (the Guide on the website) now matches the current screens and features.
1.5.0 · Patch 17 (2026-10-20)
This is an installer update. When the update notice appears in the lower-right corner after the app starts, click [Update] to download, install and restart. The changes since 1.4.0 are listed below.
1. A terminal inside the app.
- Choose View > Terminal to open a terminal in the right panel. It starts in the working folder of the chat tab you are on, and the + on its tab bar opens more.
2. Turning session sharing on and off has changed.
- Click the Share badge at the top of the chat view to turn sharing on or off. The share item in the session list's right-click menu is gone.
- The share dialog preselects the sharing server you last confirmed with [OK]. The "default server" setting is gone.
- Option > Session Sharing Servers... has a new [로컬 서버] (local server) button that fills in the address of a sharing server running on this PC (
ws://localhost:4840).
3. Download and run your own sharing server.
- The Download page on the website now offers the sharing server: unzip and run it on Windows, or use the package for a Linux server.
- When it starts, it shows the address to register in AmaGris settings. Other PCs and phones on the same network can watch as well.
4. Also
- The app's foundation (Electron) has been updated to the latest version.
- The website has a new download page for the installer and the sharing server.
1.4.0 · Patch 16 (2026-10-20)
This is an installer update. If you are on 1.3.0, follow the update prompt shown when the app starts (it downloads, installs and restarts). The changes since 1.3.0 are listed below.
1. Update notices now appear inside the app.
- The app opens first and checks for a new build shortly after, then every 4 hours. The window that used to block startup while checking is gone.
- When a new build is available, a notice card appears in the lower-right corner with [Update] and [Later]. [Later] asks again at the next check.
- Builds with a new installer are downloaded, installed and restarted. Screen-only builds apply with a single restart. Progress is shown on the notice card.
2. You can send messages while the AI is working.
- A message typed during a task is queued and delivered when the AI moves to its next step. Anything still queued when the task ends is sent right after.
- A queued message has Send now (stops the current task and sends immediately) and ✕ (cancel · returns the text to the input box).
- Slash commands and image attachments cannot be sent during a task; send them after it finishes.
3. The chat view is tidier.
- One request's progress and answer are shown as a single group. While an analysis runs you see one progress line (elapsed time · what is happening now) and the AI's interim notes.
- When the task ends the progress folds away and the final answer remains under a summary line (time taken · steps · tool calls). Click the summary line to unfold the details. Cards for analyses delegated to the background stay visible after folding.
- Command runs are grouped into cards, and a tool that failed and was retried is marked "retry N". Message separators are gone and spacing is tighter.
4. Background delegation runs longer and more naturally.
- A delegated analysis stops after 15 minutes without progress or 2 hours in total (previously a fixed 20 minutes from start).
- When a delegate reports completion, the AI continues with the next step without waiting for input (up to 20 times in a row, then it asks). Completion reports contain only verified facts.
5. Watch a conversation from another device (session sharing).
- Right-click a chat tab or the session list and choose Enable session sharing to get a share link and QR code. Open it in a browser on your phone or another PC to follow the conversation live; when turning it on you choose between view-only and allowing chat commands.
- Sharing needs a relay server. AmaGris does not provide a public relay, so register a server you run yourself under Option > Session Sharing Servers... first.
6. Local models on your own server run more reliably.
- The thinking (reasoning) on/off setting now also applies to OpenAI-compatible servers. When a model keeps thinking even though thinking was turned off, its length is capped so answers are not delayed indefinitely.
- Responses are faster because the model no longer re-reads the same content during the thinking step.
- If a screenshot is sent to a model that cannot read images and the request fails, it is retried automatically without the image.
- With a llama.cpp server, the model's context length is shown correctly (it could previously appear as 33K). The long context (1M) of the latest Claude models is recognized correctly too.
- Repeated status checks are no longer mistaken for a stuck loop as often.
7. Also
- The KIS order window is now a separate window instead of a docked panel, and can be narrowed further (down to 250px).
- The AI can open web pages in a window inside the app to check them directly. Opening an address other than a development server on your own PC asks for approval first.
- The app window background follows the theme color, so no other color flashes at startup.
